Cattle farmers in particular can now benefit from the recently changed Renewable Energies Act (EEG)* and generate a second, future-assured income for themselves by building an anaerobic digester.As our digesters are powered by a high percentage of slurry (60%) the EEG secures farmers a lucrative source of income with the “slurry bonus” – guaranteed by the state for 20 years. This particularly applies to digesters up to 150kW.

Therefore, Bebra provides an operator model for the compact digester BEBRA in 100kW and 150kW versions. A project community finances and constructs the compact biogas digesters and the farmer receives a percentage of the revenue without having to make any large investmen

The decisive advantages:

• Participation in the current revenues of up to 10%
• Free heating
• Long-term taking agreement for substrate (maize etc.)
• Prices are connected to the index e.g. for wheat and are therefore readjusted to the market situation every year
• Free fertiliser advantages compared with slurry

In addition to this the farmer has the opportunity of taking over the biogas digester every five years.
